Graeme Souness: Liverpool legend gets in toe-curling dispute with Sky Sports’ David Jones following draw against Manchester United
Graeme Souness was in confrontational mood following Liverpool’s goalless draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Reds legend, who works as a pundit for Sky Sports, was launching into a point where he argued his former club were the better team – despite the fact United had more shots on target with three compared to Liverpool’s one.It was a tight contest at Old Trafford with neither side doing enough to win the game1

Souness said: “I thought they [Liverpool] did play well. I thought they dominated the ball until they got to the 18-yard box and…”At that moment, Souness diverted his attention to Super Sunday presenter David Jones, who apparently looked at him in a peculiar way, asking: “Why are you looking at me like that? Do you not agree with me?”A somewhat shocked Jones tried to diffuse the situation by claiming he was wondering if fellow pundits and ex-Red Devils pair Gary Neville and Nemanja Vidic would agree with Souness’ point. To which Souness replied: “No, it was the way you looked.”Below you can see a video of the very awkward exchange that happened live on TV.It also attracted the attention of a few fans on Twitter. Below you can see some of the best tweets reacting to the frosty moment with Jones himself tweeting himself that there are no problems between the two.

I wasnt going to leave this out now, was I? Paul grew up supporting Hull KR, played and won the Cup for Hull FC, then walked out on them to join Hull KR. Abused viciously in the city of Hull, his life spiralled out of control. The book is the first time hes told the story of what really happened. On its third reprint and paperback coming out next year, I think its quite good.
