The Italian club are understood to be unhappy about the use of Inter in the clubs branding, according to Calciomercato.Inter Milan claim the name infringes on a trademark application it filed in the United States.The MLS contest this, though, and argue that the use of Inter is commonly used by football clubs worldwide.The use of ‘INTER’ is merely descriptive of Inter Milan and its goods and services, relying on the grounds laid by examining attorneys, reads a trademark dispute document filed by the league and published by ProSoccer USA.2
